KOSTAS PAPAGIANNOPOULOS > anno 1979
Caffe Restaurant “Klimenti” Kostas Papagiannopoulos 44 years old Klimenti is a small village located in the mountains of Corinthia, near lake Stymfalia, 120 km from Athens. I was raised in this small village and the first motorbike I ‘destroyed’ was my father’s Zundapp 50 cc I left the small village to study in University (Biomedical Engineering) , bought my first ‘fast’ motorbike (Suzuki Bandit) , and many more followed until I fell in love with the classic Tamburini 996 ! Since then I travel across Europe on the hard and sheer Ducati 996.
The most memorable trip was in Isle of Man for the races.
My other hobby is photography
After working for many years in Athens as a Biomedical Engineer, I felt that something was missing and I started feeling a strong will to return to the small village and our family tavern. The Caffé Restaurant Klimenti started in 1960 by my grandparents. Since then it has operated continuously. I have helped my grandparents in the cuisine since I was a kid and now we continue the traditional recipes with my mother.
Everything changed when I organised the first moto festival Ducati Psinetai (Ducati Grill). I combined the things I loved the most: Ducati motorcycles, Klimenti village, perfect food and rock music! The festival was very successful with more than 400 participants. After that I started living more and more in the village, renovated the family tavern and I was welcoming more and more motorcyclists from all over Greece and Europe. Finally I decided to leave Athens and live at Klimenti village. Now we offer many local plates , I grow my own vegetables, I organise many events and I’m there to welcome the travellers that heard about our small village and want to see it and taste our original Greek food! It is a great honor to be part of Motoristoratori Del Pompone and we are always very happy when Italian motorcyclists visit Klimenti.
